Kelly Smith Taylor joins The Chatfield Edge as the Director of Development

The Chatfield Edge announces the appointment of Kelly Smith Taylor as its new Director of Development. Kelly joined the team in December to help advance the mission of The Chatfield Edge. Her vast experience as a fundraising and nonprofit development professional will help the organization drive year-over-year fundraising success and program impact.

Kelly joins The Chatfield Edge from the Nevada Policy Research Institute, where she served as the Director of Development for the past four years. Under her leadership, the institute doubled its staff size and consistently met or exceeded seven-figure fundraising goals. Before that, Kelly was the Director of Development for the Yankee Institute in Connecticut and Vice President of Strategic Partners for the Bluegrass Institute for Public Policy Solutions (BIPPS) in Lexington, Kentucky, where she worked for 11 years.

“Kelly is an experienced, creative, and growth-focused professional who is passionate about education and helping individuals reach their full potential. I am confident she will contribute significantly to our mission and know you will enjoy working with her,” said Robert Elmore, Executive Director of The Chatfield Edge.

“I would also like to take this opportunity to express our deep gratitude to Kelly Watson, our former Director of Development, for her years of service and advocacy of our Ursuline values. I wish her the very best as she leaves to take some personal time off to care for her parents,” said Elmore.

The Chatfield Edge is a nonprofit offering support to first-generation and non-traditional students as they gain success in life through education. Built on the 177-year-old educational history of the Ursulines of Brown County, The Chatfield Edge combines student support services, scholarships, and mentoring to empower individuals to achieve their life goals.
