Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) Declaration Report

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, the U.S. Congress has approved the Federal Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA) Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) -American Rescue Plan (ARP). This approval allows for colleges to receive additional funding in support of students impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Note: All funds provided to Chatfield College have been disbursed to eligible students who applied for assistance.

Those students impacted by the coronavirus pandemic are eligible to apply if they are:

  • An individual who is or was enrolled at an eligible institution on or after March 13, 2020, the date of declaration of the national emergency due to the coronavirus
  • An individual with exceptional need as a result of the pandemic

HEERF: Cares Act Relief, CRRSAA, American Rescue Plan (ARP)

Chatfield College has signed and returned to the Department the Certification and Agreement, and the assurance that the institution has used, or intends to use 50% of the fund received under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act, additional funding has been designated under the CRRSAA and ARP (HEERF) programs to provide Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students.
