Previous service projects of the group include weekly visits to Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, toy donations to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Hope Emergency in Lynchburg, volunteering at the Freestore Food Bank, and donations to several other community organizations like the Brown County Animal Shelter and Matthew 25 Ministries.

Hunter Ellis, president of CSSC, says “As a student leadership group, our goal is to give back to the students and the community. It is important to us to be able to take ownership of this event, as well as the other community service projects we participate in. We hope our service and this group leaves a lasting impression on Chatfield.”

The group will be donating 25% of the profits back to the college, and plan to start an Improvement Fund, which includes plans to refurbish the tennis court, staff a coffee shop for students, and build a board game shelf. Another 25% will be used to buy Christmas gifts for families in need through Hope Emergency. The remaining 50% will go to help fund the fall festival in future years.
