Celebrate African American History With Chatfield College

February is African-American History Month, and Chatfield College in Over-the-Rhine is celebrating during the week of February 20-25.
The theme for the week is African-Americans in Art and Literature. Events are as follows:

Monday, February 20 from 11:30a.m.-12:30p.m.
Famous African-American Jazz Musician Lecture & Recital by Guitar Instructor Jamie Murrell

Tuesday, February 21 from 11:30a.m.-12:30p.m.
The Invention Is Right (Trivia Game using famous African American Inventors)

Wednesday, February 22 from 11:30a.m.-12:30p.m.
Selected readings written by African American Poets

Thursday, February 23 from 11:30a.m.-12:30p.m.
African American Cultural Talent Show (Chatfield College students showcase music, dance or poetry by African American artists)

Friday, February 24 from 11:00a.m.-12:30p.m.
Chatfield College Community Service Event

Saturday, February 25 from 12:30-3:30p.m.
African American Showcase of Memories featuring Dr. Paula Reed and the Cultural Vines of Talent (poetry, dance, music, fashion designs, and art expressions)

All events will take place in the Chatfield College first level commons area and are free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
