Grants + Scholarships
Grants are need-based aid awarded to qualified students demonstrating exceptional financial need. Grants do not have to be repaid as long as enrollment for the semester in which you receive the grant is maintained.
Pell Grant: Based on financial need. Amounts vary based on financial need and status as a student (less than half-time, half-time, 3/4 time, full-time).
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG): Based on financial need. Amounts vary based on eligibility and college resources.
Ohio College Opportunity Grant: Students must be an Ohio resident and have financial need as determined by FAFSA. Grant deadline is October 1.
To apply for a grant: File your FAFSA
Receiving your grant: Grants are disbursed each semester based on your enrollment status and will be prorated if you are not enrolled full-time. You may be asked to return a portion of your grant if you do not maintain your enrollment status for the entire semester. Also, be advised that receiving outside resources at any time during the academic year may reduce your eligibility for grants.
Close-the-gap financial support
At The Chatfield Edge, we assist students in finding financial resources to make going to school possible. Before scholarships are awarded, we work with students to identify other sources of financial support. If there is still a gap after other financial aid options have been explored, The Chatfield Edge provides a limited number of scholarships to individuals who are part of our program.
