Your Gift of Securities

Gifts of securities (stocks, bonds, and mutual funds) allow you to make a significant difference in the lives of students without affecting your cash flow. In addition, gifts of appreciated securities provide you with a charitable tax deduction and capital gains tax savings.

There are several ways to transfer securities to Chatfield.

Via U.S. Mail:

  • Send the unsigned certificates by registered mail to: Office of Development The Chatfield Edge, 20918 St. Rt. 251, St. Martin, OH 45118.
  • In a separate envelope, send a signed stock power by registered mail to the same address.
  • A stock power is available from your broker or bank.
  • Please do not mail endorsed certificates. Once the certificate is endorsed, it is legal tender and can be exchanged by anyone.

Via Hand Delivery:

Stock certificates much be given to a member of the Office of Development staff. Call Kelly Smith Taylor, Director of Development, at 513.875.3344 ext. 117 to schedule an in-person meeting or schedule a visit online.

Via Electronic Transfer:
