Supporter Spotlight: Kitty Rosenthal

When asked what a book about her life might be titled, Kitty Rosenthal replied, “You Never Know Where Life Will Take You.” That’s a fitting title for a woman who was born in Takoma Park, Maryland, grew up in Washington, DC and Charleston, West Virginia, and now lives in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Kitty graduated from Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, Pennsylvania and later took business courses at the University of Cincinnati. After college, she landed her first full-time job at Pogue’s Department Store as an executive trainee. She never forgot lessons learned from those who taught her, including Sister Benedict Joseph, who instilled in her the importance of doing things right the first time.

She was invited to serve on the board of the former Chatfield College and now continues to fuel her passion for supporting education by serving on the Advancement Commitment of The Chatfield Edge Board.

“I believe it is critically important to support lifelong learning for non-traditional students, particularly first-generation students,” Kitty said. “We help set them on a path to lifelong success servicing a full complement of scholars and mentors in our region.”

Support from people like Kitty allows The Chatfield Edge to provide guidance, scholarships, mentoring, and other resources to empower individuals to achieve their life goals through education.
