Stay At Home Order

March 23, 2020

Based on Governor DeWine’s announcement and the “Stay At Home Order” issued by Ohio Director of Health, Amy Acton, the College asks all employees to work remotely until further notice, starting March 24, 2020. Some essential employees will continue to be present on campus on a modified schedule to ensure the continuity of operations. Essential employees that are needed on campus will be notified by their supervisor. Members of the Management Team, Instructional Technology and IT departments are essential employees who report to campus on a regular basis. If you are working remotely and have not done so, the College asks that you forward your office number to your mobile phone or home phone number.

  • On your work phone press the forward button,
  • Next you will need to enter the number “8” followed by the area code and phone number of the phone you will be forwarding to (e.g. 8-513-555-5555),
  • Once completed, your work phone will be forwarded to your designated home or mobile phone,
  • Please keep in mind that calls that are forwarded will show up as a Chatfield number such as 513-875-3344 or 513-921-9856.

If you need help, please contact IT for assistance.  Your supervisor may provide you with additional forwarding information.

Building Access

Effective Tuesday, March 24, we will be closing all buildings to students and visitors. This will enhance our efforts to support social distancing and to decrease gatherings. Faculty and staff will still be available to support our students through remote options.

Chatfield College is committed to completing the spring semester and providing our students the academic instruction necessary to fulfill their degree requirements. Based on the current orders issued by the State of Ohio, and information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding large gatherings, we will postpone Commencement originally planned for May 18.  We know this is disappointing and want to assure you we will reschedule Commencement as soon as conditions allow assembly of large groups of people.  As soon as we have more details, we will share them with the College community so graduates, families and friends can plan to join us for a long-awaited ceremony.

Remote Courses

Faculty members are adapting courses into distance education formats. Please be patient and know that your professors are posting updates to Schoology frequently. If you have not heard from your professor, please check your email or call your advisor.
