Scholarship Deadline Extended at Chatfield College

Chatfield College in St. Martin, OH and Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood has announced that the deadline for private scholarships available for students registering for Fall 2017 has been extended to May 15.   In addition to federally funded programs, such as Pell Grants, this scholarship money is available due to the generosity of individual and corporate donors.

“We are delighted to be able to offer 34 endowed scholarships to our incoming and returning students,” said Jim Ludwig, Chatfield’s Director of Development. “They are need based, and some are targeted to students with specific backgrounds or interests.”

A list of all available endowed scholarships can be found at www.chatfield.edu/admissions/apply-for-financial-aid/scholarships/ and the endowed scholarship application can be found at www.chatfield.edu/endowment-scholarship-application/.  Only one application is needed to apply for all scholarships and the application needs to be submitted by May 15 for full-year scholarship consideration.

One of the 34 endowed scholarships is the Austin E. Knowlton Memorial Scholarship, established in memory of Austin E. Knowlton, a life-long Ohio resident who became a successful businessman, avid sportsman and generous philanthropist. This scholarship is awarded to an academic scholar from an Ohio high school.

Chatfield College is a private, Catholic, liberal arts college offering the Associate of Arts degree at its St. Martin campus in northern Brown County, and is an open enrollment college. Chatfield’s open enrollment policy means that prospective students need only have a High School Diploma or GED to attend Chatfield and will be guided individually through the enrollment and Financial Aid application process.  Chatfield’s accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission allows credits earned at Chatfield to easily transfer to four-year colleges.  The St. Martin campus is located at 20918 State Route 251; St. Martin, OH  45118.
