Chatfield College Mourns the Loss of Art Professor, Reid Radcliffe
Chatfield College mourns the loss of art professor, Reid Radcliffe who passed away unexpectedly on May 21, 2022. Reid taught art courses at both St. Martin and Cincinnati campuses. Reid embodied the mission of Chatfield College by meeting students where they are–whether they already possessed artistic talents or were intimidated to open a sketchbook. He was known to connect with his students by allowing them to open up about their hopes, dreams, and sorrows.
Reid studied at the Art Academy of Cincinnati and the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), and received his Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Cincinnati. He was an adjunct professor at Chatfield College, and other local colleges and universities.
He is survived by his parents, Randy (Valerie) Radcliffe and Michelle (Bob Dowd) Regan Roth; sister, Megan Radcliffe; brother, David (Lea) Vitello; uncles, Patrick Regan, Matt Radcliffe, and Kevin (Jean) Radcliffe; aunt, Sandy Radcliffe; niece, Kaitlyn Vitello; cousins, Erin (Rich) Regan, Luke (Tonia) Radcliffe, Bekka Radcliffe, Kati (Gene) Trout, Alexis Radcliffe; girlfriend, Angela Accardi and her two sons, Gus and Frankie.
Reid was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald E. Regan, Joyce E. Regan, Raymond G. Radcliffe, and Clara Lou Radcliffe.
Friends will gather informally from 5-8pm on Friday, May 27, 2022, at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, Ohio, where all will be invited to share a favorite memory or story of Reid.
Memorial donations may be directed to Visionaries and Voices, 3841 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, Ohio 45223.
Please keep Reid Radcliffe, his family, friends, students, and colleagues in your thoughts and prayers.
