Kaleb Blust, a Georgetown, OH native, has joined Chatfield as a Community Engagement Specialist. He is a graduate of Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Blust brings experience to Chatfield’s Admissions and Marketing Department from his previous higher education role on campus at Bellarmine and 3 years of administration experience in various roles. Blust will focus this role on community outreach, relationship building, and enrollment processes.

Nicole Sheppard is Chatfield’s new Program Coordinator of Early Childhood Education. She resides in Felicity, Ohio with her husband and two children. Sheppard has her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Cincinnati and received her Master of Arts in Education at Northern Kentucky University. As a Teacher for Covington Independent Public Schools for 16 years, she was dual certified as a regular education teacher and a special education teacher. This gave her great experience coming in to teach Chatfield students about what an early childhood education career may entail, first as an adjunct professor before becoming the Program Coordinator. Nicole will be focusing on preparing Chatfield students to move directly into employment in the field of education, or transfer to a bachelor’s degree program in a related field.

Robin Pruitt joins Chatfield as the first Department Coordinator of Human Services. Pruitt and her husband live in Union, KY with their five children. Pruitt is a Chatfield alum, having earned her Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts with a pathway in Human Services at our old North Fairmount campus. Pruitt went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Argosy University and a Master of Arts in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Psychology from Liberty. Pruitt’s education is paired with her experience as a police officer, family ministry director, a social worker with military veterans and their families, and with foster children. She also serves in multiple volunteer capacities within her community. Pruitt’s position at Chatfield will allow her to incorporate her passion for helping others to teach students, facilitating internships, and mentoring future Human Services professionals.

Tausha Ross, a Cincinnati, OH native has joined the Chatfield team as the Associate Dean & Site Director at the OTR Campus. She is a graduate of Wilmington College in Wilmington, Ohio with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Union Institute & University. She is currently completing a second master’s degree in Library Science from Kent State University. Ross brings experience to Chatfield’s campus from a previous higher education role as Academic Advisor. She has been in higher education for over 12 years and has worked in everything from admissions and recruiting to management and administration. Ross will focus this role on community outreach, student engagement, and relationship building with students, staff, and the surrounding community.

Stacie Strunk, a Highland County resident, joined our Saint Martin Campus as our Front Desk Associate. Strunk attended Northern Kentucky University and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She joins us with 10 years of customer service experience. Most recently she worked in the library at a community college where she would answer phones, complete student requests, and work on other administrative tasks that will transfer greatly to her goals with Chatfield. Strunk hopes to help continue the excellent communication between students, staff, and faculty at both Chatfield campuses.

Dr. Victoria (Tori) D. Vogelgesang, MPA has joined Chatfield as our Director of Assessment and Institutional Research. She graduated from Wittenberg University with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and attended Northern Kentucky University for her Master of Arts in Public Administration with a concentration in nonprofit management and for her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership with a concentration in social justice and higher education administration. Her dissertation is titled “A Quantitative Analysis of High Impact Practices and Civic Learning Outcomes Among Community College Students.” Vogelgesang is an alumna of and former Alumnae Engagement Director at Saint Ursula Academy. She is an Ursuline Companion with the Ursulines of Cincinnati, where she resides. Vogelgesang comes to us with experience in higher education from her previous role as the Associate Executive Director at Kentucky Campus Compact.

Darrin Swisshelm, Chatfield’s new Math and Science Department Coordinator, received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Ohio State University and his Master of Art in Math Education from Morehead State University. Swisshelm is a resident of Aberdeen, Ohio, and comes to Chatfield with 14 years of experience in teaching higher education math courses. He has taught adjunct at Chatfield for 3 years before starting as the Department Coordinator. Swisshelm’s goal is to continue to deliver a top-notch educational experience through outstanding faculty, comprehensive courses, and excellent individual student interaction.
