Chatfield College Welcomes New Site Director & Associate Dean
Matthew Long has joined Chatfield College as the New Site Director & Associate Dean at the Over-the-Rhine campus. This position supervises and manages all aspects of campus operation, including academic and student life activities.
Matthew said, “In my past 11 years, I have worked in different capacities with Chatfield College. I am very excited to now be joining the team and look forward to learning more about our mission and serving our students. I believe great things are in store for Chatfield, and I am fortunate to be part of the team that leads us into that future.”
Matthew received his bachelor’s degree in Religion and Philosophy from Indiana University, and his master’s degree in Religious Studies from the University of Georgia. When previously working at the YMCA, he served as coordinator and instructor in the GED/ABLE program, workforce development coordinator, staff trainer and community collaborator, and manager of adult literacy outcome data.
“Matt’s experience in providing education as a pathway to success makes him a natural fit for Chatfield. Many who supported Matthew in his candidacy spoke of his passion for being of service to others and the enthusiasm with which he lives the mission,” said Dr. Peter Hanson, Chief Academic Officer and Dean.
When his young children allow, Matthew enjoys traveling, physical activity, and boating. He and his family live in the greater Cincinnati area.
