Chatfield College to Hold Faculty Recruitment Fairs

Chatfield College is actively working to establish a pool of qualified faculty candidates for the  Fall and Spring semesters.  Instructors are needed in all liberal arts subjects, including business, computers, math, English, history, human services, and all of the sciences.  Previous experience in teaching in a setting that includes adult learners is preferred, but not required.

Chatfield College encourages anyone interested in learning more about the college and its mission to attend one of the college’s faculty recruitment fairs on Tuesday, July 16 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the Cincinnati campus or Wednesday, July 17 from 5-7:30 p.m. at the St. Martin campus.  Campus tours will be available and refreshments will be served.

Chatfield College’s mission is to meet students where they are-in their prior education, their circumstances, their well being, and in their growth.  Teaching at Chatfield offers a rewarding classroom environment – small classes of 5-15 students of all ages.   Instructors in all disciplines, during morning, afternoon and evening hours and online are sought.

Minimum qualifications for teaching most courses at Chatfield College is a Master’s degree in the discipline in which the individual wishes to teach, or a Master’s degree in any area with 18 cohesive graduate credit hours in the discipline the individual wishes to teach. Prospective instructors with at least a bachelor’s degree in education, with an emphasis on teaching mathematics or reading or composition, or a bachelor’s or master’s degree and experience teaching literacy or numeracy to adolescents or adults are also invited.

The recruitment fair will provide an excellent opportunity to learn about teaching at Chatfield College.  Participants are encouraged to bring a resume, copies of graduate transcripts, and any questions.  Those who are unable to attend in person may apply online at https://chatfieldedge.org/chatfield-employment/.

Established in 1971, Chatfield College is a private, Catholic, liberal arts college offering the Associate of Arts degree in St. Martin and Cincinnati.  Chatfield is an open enrollment college and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.  Prospective students need only to have a High School Diploma or GED to attend and will be guided individually through the enrollment and financial aid application process.  The St. Martin Campus is located in northern Brown County Ohio at 20918 State Route 251, St. Martin, OH  45118. The Cincinnati Campus is located at 1544 Central Parkway, Cincinnati, OH  45202.
