Chatfield College + The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences Sign Articulation Agreement

Chatfield College and The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences (TCCNHS) have signed an articulation agreement to benefit students from both campuses beginning January 2022. Chatfield College students now have a medical assisting pathway that will allow them to earn a Medical Assisting Clinical Certificate as part of their Associate of Arts degree program by taking the 16 credit hours for medical assisting at TCCNHS. Once students complete the required courses, they are eligible to take the CCMA exam through the National Health Career Association.

Chatfield College’s Dean and Chief Academic Officer, Peter Hanson, said, “The partnership with The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences elevates the options for our students.  Students enrolled in the AA in Liberal Arts program now have the opportunity to earn a Medical Assisting Clinical Certificate while earning their degree.” Hanson added, “Both Chatfield and TCCNHS share similar values and goals and the same passion for student support.”

In addition, Chatfield students who complete their Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts with a business pathway can enroll in TCCNHS Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Administration program. Students at TCCNHS who are interested in obtaining a Community Health Worker certification can take the required classes at Chatfield College as part of this articulation agreement.

The Christ College’s Associate Registrar, Brian Sheeley, adds, “We are excited about this partnership between Chatfield College and The Christ College as it provides students at both institutions additional opportunities to earn credentials and pursue career-focused degrees. Both institutions have long-standing traditions of collaborative focus on student-first initiatives that impact learning outcomes, and this partnership gives more leverage to those traditions.”

Students enrolled at both Chatfield College and The Christ College of Nursing and Health Services can inquire now at their home campus about participation in these programs, which will begin in January 2022.
