Chatfield College to Offer Free Class to Graduating Seniors

Chatfield College in Cincinnati and St. Martin, Ohio is offering two classes for the price of one to all graduating seniors who enroll for the summer session.

The Fast Break Scholarship program is open to anyone graduating from high school this year, and is designed to assist students in beginning their college education.  It offers high school seniors the chance to get a jump start on their college education during the summer session immediately after graduation.

“We are excited to again offer this popular program to area high school seniors,” said John Penrose, Vice-President of Enrollment Management.  “Every 2017 graduate qualifies for this scholarship, regardless of whether you are attending Chatfield in the Fall or attending another college.  Either way, this scholarship will give you the opportunity to earn transferable credit for free.”

Penrose added that students can also apply for financial aid, which could further reduce the cost of attending classes this summer.

“This scholarship and any financial aid you may receive will not affect your plans for the fall,” said Penrose.  “Our summer session starts June 4, so your financial aid award would be based on this year’s FAFSA.  It will not affect the 2017-18 FASFA you may be using for the next school year.”

In order to receive this scholarship, you must be a graduate of a high school or vocational school during this academic year, apply for admission to Chatfield College, and register for at least one class (3-4 credit hours) for the summer semester.
